This beautiful photo by Joe Beck got Mr Smith thinking.  Is he going to the mist or away from it?  This is a very difficult question at the moment, but one that has an obviously correct answer, coming out of the mist.

The MistThe challenge of every day life, commuting, working, living and training can cause Mr Smith’s mind to mist over and makes him feel that life has become something of a rut, which I am sure we all feel at times.

If Mr Smith was asked where he stood in that picture now, it would be going down the stairs towards the mist.  However he is taking a breath, pausing and turning back to the world of clarity.

What has caused the mists to come down?

  • The drudgery of spending 4 hours a day commuting, which feels like lost time that will never come back.  This really does cause things to mist up
  • The long term injury on the ankle which is taking much longer to recover from than originally expected
  • Uncertainty around the work future
  • Not being able to share things in life with the people he would like to share them with

There will be no more lost time or opportunities and Mr Smith is going to be focusing on:

  • Health
  • Wealth
  • Fitness
  • Learning new skills
  • Developing new tastes
  • Exploring new places
  • Loosing fear
  • Developing a positive attitude
  • Breaking bad habits, creating good ones
  • Maybe finding a Mrs Smith?
  • Becoming the person he wants to be and not the one he has become (see the list above!)

There is no time line for the completion of the goals, but they will all be the focus of Mr Smith to ensure that the mists never try and draw him in.  This has already started by taking time to focus on this personal space, learning more about how to develop it and improving it.  Those lost hours will be spent studying both how to improve the blog, nutrition and a language.  All very different, but things that require focus and will develop new skills.

Time for those mists to clear
